Natural Resources Management

UNYDA’s Natural Resources Management program is a dynamic initiative that combines community engagement and policy advocacy to champion sustainable practices and address the challenges posed by oil extraction in South Sudan’s local communities. Collaborating closely with the Civil Society Coalition on Natural Resources (CSCNR), the program strategically employs lobbying efforts to influence governmental policies and industry practices, aligning them with the core tenets of environmental stewardship and social responsibility. By advocating for sustainable development and equitable utilization of revenues derived from natural resources, the program aims to ensure tangible benefits for citizens while safeguarding the environment.
