Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
This is a multifaceted initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide and empowering communities through enhanced access to information and technology resources. Recognizing the transformative potential of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in promoting socio-economic development, the program focuses on expanding digital literacy, fostering innovation, and leveraging technology for social change.
Key components of the program include:
• Digital Literacy and Training: UNYDA conducts comprehensive training sessions and workshops to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively navigate and utilize digital technologies. These sessions cover basic computer skills, internet usage, digital safety, and tailored to the needs of different age groups and skill levels.
• Community Technology Centers: These play a pivotal role in enhancing access to employment, online education, and entrepreneurship opportunities. These centers serve as vital hubs for learning, research, and collaboration, equipped with computers, internet access, and relevant software applications. Additionally, the centers provide an environment conducive to entrepreneurship, offering support and resources for aspiring entrepreneurs to develop business ideas, access mentorship and training programs, and network with potential investors and industry experts.
