This is an integral component cutting across all our focus areas. We employ gender-sensitive strategies across all programs. This entails addressing women’s specific needs and priorities in agricultural production and livelihood initiatives, tackling barriers to girls’ education through advocacy and targeted support, promoting women’s participation in peacebuilding processes, and bridging the digital gender gap through targeted training and advocacy. Through the utilization of the Gender Action Learning System (GALS) methodology, we actively foster gender awareness and collaboration within households, cultivating an environment of inclusivity and parity. By embedding gender justice into our operations, UNYDA actively contributes to more inclusive development outcomes, empowers women and girls, and advances gender equality and social justice in South Sudan.
